Nigeria is home to the world’s sixth-largest Christian population, yet most Americans know little about what Nigerian Christians are facing.
THE MOMENT.
Since 2009, more than 50,000 believers have been killed and more than 3.6 million people have been displaced. Thousands of churches and villages have been destroyed.
THE ADVOCACY.
Last December, more than 60 NFL players and coaches signed a letter to Congress and the President calling for action. That advocacy helped raise awareness and contributed to increased attention from the U.S. State Department.
THE NEXT STEP.
We sent the letter, and now we keep going. Stand With Them is a player-led campaign launching in late October and running through December.
This is a moment to use your voice to help the world see—and stand with—our brothers and sisters in Nigeria.
HOW YOU CAN HELP.
1. RECORD A SELFIE VIDEO
10–15 minutes. Answer six short questions, watch a one-minute video about a Nigerian believer, and share your honest reaction. Shoot on your phone. GCR handles the editing and production.
2. TALK WITH BENJAMIN
30 minutes. A conversation, in person or remotely, about your faith, career, how you learned about Nigeria, and your reaction to one believer’s story.
3. JOIN US IN THE STUDIO
One day. Spend a day with Benjamin and the GCR team creating the campaign’s biggest pieces. We cover your travel.
4. SHARE WHAT GCR PRODUCES
We’ll provide a Stand With Them graphic and ready-to-use caption. You simply post it—no recording, writing, or scheduling required.

The goal is to raise $1 million to help Nigerian believers rebuild churches and homes, access clean water and emergency relief, receive trauma care, and provide schooling for displaced children.
